The Spring/Summer 2014 issue of Develop – the Salvation Army’s International Development (SAID) newsletter – is now available. One of the featured articles – The Long and Broken Road to Freedom – reflects on two award winning films. The first film, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, is the biopic of the late, great South African leader and global elder. The second film, 12 Years A Slave, picked up the Best Film Award at both the BAFTAs and the Oscars.
The main content of the publication focuses on the numerous projects running around the world. This issue includes:

- Cry Freedom – An introduction to Cry Freedom The Salvation Army’s attempt to fight against trafficking around the world

- Family Portraits – Through Embrace The Salvation Army is being family to children in Paraguay who are in desperate need of love, care and support
